Taking three periods of overtime and nearly the duration of two games to determine the victor of game one of the NHL Stanley Cup, the second game between the Chicago Blackhawks and Boston Bruins is brewing up to be another classic. As the Blackhawks came from behind to take a thriller in game one, the Bruins are looking to storm back and square up the series by taking game 2.
Don’t expect the Bruins’ vets to back down, as they were in a similar situation after losing the first two games in the 2011 Cup Final and battled back to win the series in seven games. Expect this battle to be a long series, as neither recent champ is expected to let up without putting up a fight. With this classic series occurring right before our eyes, the NHL should see a growth in fans to follow next season.
