Algorithms Galore, Are You Prepared for the Robonaut Challenge?

April 1st was anything but a joke for those over at NASA as their Tournament Lab released, what PMBC Group considers, the best contest by far. The Robonaut Challenge calls all robotics and computer aficionados for the chance not only at winning $10,000 but the golden ticket for NASA fans to work on the International Space Station (ISS).

The challenge consists of creating algorithms to successfully implement Robonaut 2 to learn elementary duties on the taskboard, more specifically, to identify commands on an LED board. NASA created several taskboards for Robonaut 2 to work with in order to help those in the ISS perform ordinary day-to-day tasks such as cleaning and maintaining the station. Challenges will run for three weeks alongside another separate challenge which is programing the sight of Robonaut 2. We’re just eager to see how this challenge pans out, not just to see who is the winner but to witness the future of technology and space.

How do you forecast the outcome of Robonaut 2?
