LA Times Announces Be Great Partners’ 9 LA Tech Spaces

PMBC Group‘s client Be Great Partners, LA’s fastest growing incubator/accelerator, hosted the LA startup extravaganza last Tuesday night at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood, CA. The LA Times’ tech editor Andrea Chang was in attendance, describing the event as a “splashy party…to celebrate the local tech scene and to announce that it will open nine co-working spaces for startups.”

This was one of the biggest announcements of the night, that BGP will be adding “110,000 square feet of co-working space to the region and will collectively be known as Be Great Labs. They’ll be spread out, with locations in Santa Monica, downtown L.A., Sherman Oaks, Century City and Pasadena, among others.”

This is all part of BGP’s mission to grow LA’s startup tech scene and to take it from the No. 3 to the No. 1 position in the world. BGP has already invested in 23 startups with their $6 million fund from friends and family, and plans to reach 500.

Hundreds attended the party and were able to meet the BGP portfolio companies in attendance as well as network with other professionals. Me Undies, Enplug, NatureBox, and Hullabalu, were some startups that stood out to the editor as she herself took to the main presentation room.
