Los Angeles’ own startup incubator-accelerator Be Great today announced that the next Be Great Fest will be held August 12, 2014. Be Great Fest is the firm’s semi-annual celebration of Los Angeles’ startup ecosystem, where entrepreneurs, investors, talent, civic leaders, celebrities and others are united under one roof to forge a stronger, tech-friendly L.A.

Be Great’s inaugural event for Los Angeles, Be Great Fest 2013, was attended by representatives from the LA Mayor’s Office and was later praised by Mayor Eric Garcetti for catalyzing the city’s startup community.

The 2014 Fest will be presented in a brand new all-day format, with a full schedule of programming and micro-events beginning at 9AM and lasting until the evening. The event will be held at an iconic Los Angeles location to be announced in the following months. Be Great is anticipating 1500 attendees.

Be Great 2014 will include a keynote speaker event, 12 to 16 breakout workshops and panels, a special competition called Be Great Cup, and an evening black-tie gala featuring gourmet catering, premium open bar, a celebrity DJ and other surprises. $25,000 of proceeds from the event will be donated to charity.

Passes to the 2014 event are already available at www.begreatfest.com, with Early Bird conference admission starting at $125 for the whole day’s program. Admission includes entrance to the keynote, all workshops, startup competition, a VIP party and a premium swag bag featuring products by Be Great’s portfolio companies and sponsors.
