This week, robot builder Boston Dynamics unveiled “WildCat,” an all-terrain robot that can run as fast as 16mph. WildCat is the next generation of the Boston Dynamics “Cheetah” which set a land speed record for legged robots at 29mph, but was operated by a hydraulic pump and ran on a treadmill in the lab. Though a bit slower, the new generation WildCat runs untethered and on any kind of terrain. Watch the video of WildCat below and check out their other robots here.
